I'm Lucy and my body is 87 years old. My secret to living this long is simplicity. In this page I'd like to share with you a sample of my everyday regimen with the hope that you can also create your own - one that works for you. To help you live not just a long life, but a healthy vibrant life that your children and grandchildren can still share.

Detoxification

Every morning I engage in a detoxification process that involves several steps. First I take one tablespoon of coconut oil and swish it inside my mouth for 20 minutes, and then I spit it out. Then I scrape my tongue, brush my teeth, and drink 2 glasses of water after I massage my gums. Later, I drink a mixture of one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and one tablespoon of honey. I then take one tablespoon of olive oil.

Food

For breakfast, I eat whatever raw fruits are in season, for example pineapple or papaya. Or I take in a smoothie of guyabano with fruits, greens and red beets. At times I take n some carbohydrates such as sabah (plaintain) and orange or violet camote (sweet potato) with tahini (sesame paste).

At around 10AM I have a snack such as buko (coconut) with its juice. Then throughout the day I strive to maintain a balance of seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet) through my fruits and vegetables. My early dinner includes soup and salad.

Supplementing

A healthy diet should be paired with several supplements. Twice daily I take 1000 mg of vitamin C, a turmeric capsule, a malunggay (moringa) capsule, and a magnesium tablet. Three times a day I take 500mg of vitamin B12. After lunch I take one capsule of Pro-biotics. After meals, I swallow whole 3 pieces of green siling labuyo (small green chili peppers) to counter hypertension and high blood pressure.

Besides being vegetarian, I avoid white sugar and adding salt to my food as much as possible. It takes a lot of first steps to develop one's own healthy regimen. Being guided by a trusted doctor and listening to your own body is very helpful. As much as I can I take moments of silence to draw peace, love and all good qualities from the Source of all goodness so that I get a healthy dose of Vitamin G too (Vitamin God!)

I can say that it works for me - I'm 87, lucid and able to travel. For sure, something can work for you too.
