When The Going Gets Tough, G-O-T-A-F!

Whatever's happening in our mind will ultimately reveal itself in our body. Whatever thoughts we create reflect on our organs and limbs. The time frame maybe immediate or after a prolonged period - but for certain our thoughts will eventually manifest themselves.


Not many schools of thought agree to this principle since the more common knowledge separates the physical world from the spiritual-mental world. However, more and more scholars, physicists, psychiatrists are acknowledging the connection.

RefreshLife fully acknowledges the said connection which is why it teaches the 5 basic skills for mind and body. Think of it as a checklist you can mark whenever, wherever to help you in everyday life. The 5 skills are:


G (Grounding). Ako ba ay matatag yet flexible, ready for any circumstance?


O (Observing). Am I mindful of my thoughts as well as the condition of my physical body? I need to observe and identify any issues immediately so I can address, remediate or find solutions if necessary.


T (Transforming). Is there anything disturbing and negative in my mind? And anything painful in my body? I need to transform it into something more positive and beneficial.


A (Affirming). I need to affirm myself every day as I begin and also end the day so I dont have to wait for others to affirm me. I have unique qualities which are sufficient to enable me to successfully navigate my own life story and make the best use of my life.


F (Focusing). When I have an aim or focus, I can move my energy towards it. I can focus my effort towards my goal and feel a greater sense of contentment with my thoughts and actions.


There are specific movements to guide each principle. There are also meditation experiences the group goes through in absorbing each principle. If you’ve never experienced it, perhaps it’s time to join the session. The sooner you bring benefit to yourself, the better for you and everyone around you.
